How Reputation Travels: Creating Value through our Networks
Prof Mat Hughes of Loughborough University School of Business and Economics
In this exciting session, we’ll use a game to think about our lives as entrepreneurs and business people and why reputation is so important. Good reputation, and good relationships just as importantly, help us access knowledge and resources vital to our business at a low cost. By thinking of our networks and how we operate within those networks, we can identify strategies to create the most value, but also help us realize what we might lose should our reputation change.
Protecting Reputation: Would you be ready if the media calls?
Rosalind Smith, Reputation Communications Manager at 3M United Kingdom PLC
Despite a company’s most valuable asset being its reputation, it can often take second place to managing the practical or tangible aspects of an issue or crisis situation faced by a business. In this session, we’ll discuss what your stakeholders and the wider public will expect from you from a communications perspective, the importance of training and preparedness, and when, what and by whom you should communicate to protect, and even enhance, your reputation.
