Earlier this year CommAgility announced that it had been acquired by US-based Wireless Telecom Group.
LATi is to visit CommAgility on 16 November from 3:30 to 6pm to learn about the fascinating process, and what the CommAgility senior management team learnt.
Ed Young, Managing Director and co-founder of CommAgility will talk about why the company considered selling the business, the subsequent negotiations, the acquisition process, and what has happened since.
Chris Froggatt, a partner at Convex Capital, who helps companies to ‘realise the value of the equity in their business’ will talk about what companies need to think about when considering a sale, as well as stories from other technology and scientific enterprises.
The visit will start with a tour of the premises, followed by talks and a Q&A session. There will be plenty of opportunity for networking at the start and end of the visit.

CommAgility, Ltd., a privately-held developer of embedded signal processing and RF modules, LTE PHY/stack software for 4G/5G mobile networks and related applications, announced today it has been acquired by Wireless Telecom Group, Inc. CommAgility, headquartered in Loughborough, England, provides proprietary solutions enabling the customization of the LTE standard for small cell and private network applications in a variety of rapidly growing commercial and defense markets, including airborne, satellite communications, backhaul and research. Additionally, CommAgility is a critical supplier for leading cellular network validation test systems currently on the market.

CommAgility expects continued momentum designing custom LTE network solutions for the U.S. defense market, where Wireless Telecom has an entrenched position with its Boonton and Noisecom businesses. CommAgility also significantly enhances the Company’s Microlab offering for small cell and distributed antenna systems supporting carriers’ ever growing need for network coverage and capacity.
The Board of Directors of both companies unanimously approved the transaction which closed simultaneously with the execution of the definitive agreement.
